Teaser on what MYC will be about this year.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, changes have been made to MYC 2020. For the first time ever, we will not be having a residential MYC, instead we will be running everything through online platforms.

A different format and experience, but the heart of MYC will still be the same, a conference focused on a deep engagement with God’s Word with each other.

It will be a time of great learning as we are challenged in significant ways by God’s truth revealed in the Scriptures. What a time to be involved!

Get excited for an extraordinary MYC!

Video message from Carl about MYC in light of the changes caused by the Coronavirus.

MYC is the annual conference of Campus Bible Study. Each year hundreds of students take some time away from the bustle of uni life to spend the week learning more about Jesus and asking the big questions in life. It’s a time to learn, reflect, make friends, and have a lot of fun. Join us!

Each night will involve coming together for the main session where we will primarily be taught from the Bible on the topic of study. It will also serve as a time for the whole of the CBS family and friends to sing, hear from our guests, partners and students, pray and be encouraged together.

This is where we get hands on and research our topic in the whole Bible. Splitting into our ministry and faculty groups we will dig deep and interactively deconstruct and reconstruct our understanding of our topic. Be prepared to have your brains challenged and minds blown. It’ll be lots of fun working and learning with your peers!

A highlight of MYC for many! Everyone gets allocated into a small group with their peers to work through some guided material as you try to figure out what the Bible says and get to know one another. This is where you get to learn practically how to unpack and understand the Bible for yourself – can there be anything more important!?

Frequently Asked Questions

What to expect?

Four days of digging deep into the Bible and being challenged by what God has to say to us in His Word. A special time to connect and learn with those in your ministry group as well as others across the wider Campus Bible Study family.

Who should come along?

Anyone who is keen to learn from God’s Word. We would love for you to join us!

Why the changes?

The ongoing development of the Coronavirus pandemic means that we can no longer meet in person for MYC. We are excited at still being able to run MYC, online, and to give you a fresh experience of going deep into God’s Word together.

How is this year’s MYC different than previous years?

The main difference will be the change of a physical conference to online events. Costs are massively cut down and you get to join us from the comforts of your home. No more conference food and accommodation but we think it’ll be OK! You get to sleep in your own comfy bed!

What do I need for MYC this year?

What you probably already have. A laptop / computer, access to a Bible, basic stationery, decent internet connection and a ready to get stuck in attitude!

What does my payment go to?

Registration fees cover the overheads of running the conference. There will be added streaming, technical resourcing and production costs involved this year with the change in format. It also, covers the cost of the MYC Pack.

What is a MYC Pack?

There will be a MYC pack sent to those that have registered (and paid) for a full conference pass ! It will include the conference materials and everything you need to engage with the learning that will take place!

Hopefully everyone has received their MYC Packs by now! Enjoy! If you rego’d after the cut-off please download the conference resources from the portal 🙂

When does registration end?

Standard Rego ends on 6 May and Late Rego goes until 13 May! Get in early to save some $$ and help us get organised. Reminder to rego before 27 April to secure a MYC pack that will delivered to you so you can make the most for the conference!

Why do first timers get a discount?

Coming to MYC for the first time can be a bit daunting, so we want to make it as easy as possible for first-time students to come and check it out.

Can I come to MYC if I can only make certain days?

It is (much) better if you can commit to the whole conference. Much better.
If you can only commit to part of the conference or have any questions about this, please speak to a CBS staff member or email myc@campusbiblestudy.org.
